Vienna Airport is aware of its responsibility as one of the largest employers in Austria. An important concern is to actively
help shape the goals of sustainable development for both the company and the region. In addition, Flughafen Wien AG is committed
to resource-saving operations and sets standards for reducing the CO2 footprint.
In this effort, we want to minimize the lighting that is not operationally necessary in times of low traffic. This includes also the lighting of the advertising systems or the temporary shutdown of digital advertising installations. In order to keep the impact on our customers as low as possible, we have currently set this period from 00:00 a.m. to 4:30 a.m.
In consequence of a currently uncertain situation in the national energy supply, we would like to make a significant contribution.
